Civil Law

Our philosophy is that in-depth knowledge and understanding of Greek civil law is the best possible guarantee for effectively handling all manner of commercial transactions, particularly in relation to new fields of business activity, where there is no specific legislation yet. In these new fields the principles of civil law apply by analogy and thus only substantive knowledge of the general principles can really ensure that the best possible advice is given for each “new” legal issue which arises.

Despite expanding into new fields of law, which has resulted in a significant increase in our clientele, the firm’s unwavering position has been that it is vital to retain close ties and the same philosophy which govern its dealings with the large number of individual, “traditional“ clients from the firm’s early years.

For years now, these clients have been a cornerstone of the firm, making a decisive contribution to the expansion and extension of its activities.

A result of this philosophy – combined with the flexibility offered by the firm’s relatively small size and the considerable experience in coordinating multi-member teams of colleagues- is that the firm now frequently represents informal groupings of individuals with shared interests (in the field of public performance of musical works for example) undertaking to jointly represent them (with major cost savings for them), either on our own or in combination with other lawyers representing other members of the grouping.
